| Introduction | Hi. I’m a new member of the New England Aquarium’s Aerial Survey Team. I am looking forward to learning more about right whales and aiding in their documentation and protection off the coast of Florida. I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities to participate in marine mammal conservation research and education programs. Some examples are: assisting the International Wildlife Coalition with outreach related to responsible whale watching in New England; supporting the Protected Resources Division of NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service with programs concerning the mitigation of commercial fishing interactions with cetaceans; working as a naturalist onboard commercial whale watch vessels; and assisting the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society with the photo-identification of humpback whales off the coast of New England. |
