| Introduction | Holometabolism is a process of metamorphosis. Because the butterfly goes through stages of development which result in this form of complete transformation, it is classified as a creature that is 'holometabolous.' A caterpiller emerges from an egg, retreats into a chrysalis, and then re-emerges in its adult form - a term biology refers to as the 'imago.' The butterfly helps me understand the invisible process of spiritual transformation that God has brought and is bringing about in my life. |
