Introduction Welcome to the seasons of my cancer. Here I write about my summer 2010 breast cancer diagnosis and long-term treatment. ------ Quick stats: At age 32 I found a lump, which turned out to be an "aggressive" tumor, accompanied by extensive high-grade DCIS (in sum: stage IIIa breast cancer). Treatment, in this order: four rounds of dose dense A/C (summer '10); mastectomy, placement of a tissue expander, and node removal (fall '10); four rounds of Taxol (winter '10); six-plus weeks of radiation (spring '11); eighteen Herceptin infusions (winter-spring-summer-fall '11); exchange surgery (winter '11); Tamoxifen (spring '11-spring '16).
Interests Being cancer-free. Other than that interest, I like teaching, reading, writing, being with my partner, E, and our little family of animals.
Favorite Books Pink Ribbon Blues (women resisting the pink ribbon movement--you're not alone!)

As a language person, I usually find grammar humor funny. But this is just bad.
