| Introduction | Aloha! 10 acres of Kona coffee, 5 acres of macadamia nuts, 3 dogs 2 parents, 2 grandparents, and me. Is it any wonder I'm a little crazy? I moved from Guam, back home to Hawaii in 2003 to take over my family's farm. My mother was recovering from cancer and it was time for me to put up or shut up on being a farmgirl. So here I am. After 15 years as an environmental engineer, I've traded in my slide rule for a shovel. No complaints either. In 2004, I added 5 acres to my parents 10 acres. I am building a house on the property. As you might imagine, this occupies most of my spare time. And no, I don't have a tractor....yet. But I want one...bad. |
