Introduction | My name is Maya, I am single mother of 2, and I LOVE my CURLY AFRICAN AMERICAN hair! My hair is 3b/3c/4a, and thick but fine. In my 30 years, I have had locs, twists, weave, color, buzz cuts, long hair, relaxers, texturizers - you name it, I did it! Now, on a natural journey, 6 years with locs and now 2.5 years loose,I dont know how I missed this for so long! African american hair is soo diverse, versitale, beautiful, and perfectly made- it just needs a chance! Healthy hair habits and great styling advice have given me the unique, fierce, naturally beautiful look that unfortunately, some of us are raised to believe only women with "good hair" could have! It is my passion to share the knowledge, and share my journey with others, so that they can stop wishing and start loving (and learning how to take care of) the "good hair" God gave them! Have fun ladies!XOXO #TEAMNATURAL |
