| Introduction | I studied at the University of Memphis where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I went on to study for four years under the instruction of Kate Manzo at the Contemporary Realist Academy then moved to France to study at the Ecole Albert Defois with master painter, Ted Seth Jacobs. Now, back in Memphis, I stay involved with the Contemporary Realist Academy where I am vice president and administrator. I continue to paint and draw concentrating on figurative, portraiture, still-lifes and landscapes. My work is primarily about creating emotion in my paintings expressing an awareness of things as they really are. |
