| Introduction | I advocate continuing growth in Oakland's population to provide more jobs for the residents and more opportunities for entrenprenuers. I reject the selfish, short-sighted NIMBYism that pervades much of local politics. Our city is awesome and more people should live in it. We are very lucky to be one of the few American industrial cities which is still growing and attracting young people - we must preserve our advantages and continue our success. |
