About Me

I am currently working as coordinator of the Reinventing the School Board Project of the Naga City Government and co-team leader of its i-Governance Program. (Both initiatives were adjudged as two of the 10 Most Outstanding Local Government Programs in the Philippines for 2004 by Gawad Galing Pook, the country’s most prestigious awards programme for local authorities.) I am also part of the pioneering group of Ford Foundation International Fellows in the Philippines. I am married to a high school math teacher at the Camarines Sur National High School, the city’s biggest. We have seven children, four of whom are in the public school system of Naga. Last May, I was reassigned to the City Planning and Development Office to lead in crafting Naga’s development and land use plans.
