About Me

A former Health Information Management professional who supervised patient records in medical institutions, I learned of marvelous medical options & medical people over time. I've reported on this as a journalist. In 2005 I suddenly needed to expand my knowledge base so I could survive a blinding, benign brain tumor endangering my life. Some doctors didn't expect me to survive. I faced a lifetime of extreme weakness and low vision after emergency surgery. I stayed optimistic and began an unusual healing program. I achieved the vigor and glow of a much younger woman, shocking my medical team. My sight keeps improving (yay GOD!). I wrote "It's MY Crisis and I'll Cry if I Need To: EMPOWER Yourself to Cope with a Medical Challenge" from both sides of the hospital bed. It explains how YOU can cope with medical crises, too. Control your emotions & actions. Enhance your sense of dignity; physical health, or that of loved ones in medical crises. Discover cost-effective resources around the world. Medical & mental health professionals use and recommend both editions. I spell my Hebrew name Yocheved two ways (same "ch" as in "Bach") to help non-Hebrew speakers. It's Yojeved in Spanish.
