Introduction | I was born in West Virginia, raised in Philadelphia and have lived in Nashville for over thirty years. I am married with 3 teenagers and I am an advocate for teenagers, because they are often misunderstood. My kinship with teenagers is personified in my volunteer work in youth programs. I am a Co-Director for The Nashville Birthing Project, a grass roots organization that addresses the causes for poor birth outcomes in Nashville. I feel as passionately about the arts. I love neo-soul, old school soul and rap and I am enthralled at live concerts. I was an African dancer, but, I have passed the dance performance torch to my youngest daughter. I love the theater, both large or small productions. I revere books! They allow me to use my imagination and visit new places and situations. I am a student of life and the journey that I now choose is one that is preparing me to plan and begin my dream vacations! |

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?
No, I used the fractured petals as potpouri!
