| Introduction | You notice how "the diva" is in lower case? Well that is because "the diva" in me has become very small compared to everything else I have become. I don't know how I became who I am today. Life was very slow for me for a long time, and then one day it just went by in a big blur. Six years ago I was this fly diva that dressed in fly clothes and wore fly footwear whose heel at a MININUM was two inches. I owned my home, did my own thing and I longed and prayed for a husband and family. You see I thought I was lonely and bored... Then one day I met a wonderful man on match.com, fell madly in love and the next thing you know pretty much everything that was familiar to me, was now unfamiliar. I married, moved to the East Coast, became a stepmom, had kids of my own and became a stay-at-home mom. Whew! I get tired thinking about it. Somewhere in the midst of all that I lost myself. It is a daily struggle for me to try and reconcile the old "diva" me with the new "mommy/wife" me. It is as though the "mommy/wife" me has consumed all of me. I often wonder can these three woman coexist. So this blog is my journey back to me... |
