| Introduction | My name's Stephen Avitabile and I get myself into so many awkward situations it's hard not to find the humor in everything. That's how I've been my whole life, turning everything into a joke. It's not the best habit to have, but I think it's good to be able to laugh at myself, often. Very often. Like every day. A few years ago, I thought maybe this habit could be used more to my advantage, writing comedy. I started off doing stand-up in different places in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire - my home state. I live in California now and have been focusing a lot more on writing screenplays and TV episodes. I mainly write comedy, but if I get a good idea that isn't funny, I can't ignore it. I wanted to start this blog to draw attention to myself as a writer but I also love the idea of having a blog. It's perfect for smaller ideas that I can't put in any other work. And I love to entertain! I plan on having a variety of posts on my blog, from opinions, to skits, to whatever I find to be funny.
