| Introduction | street medicine mixed with a touch of leftwing politics and other musings from a Lt./FTO in a busy system in the southern US. born and raised in northern WI but as the joke goes "what's the difference between a Yankee and a Damn Yankee? the Yankee's went home". we have the 3rd busiest ED in the state and the 3rd poorest county in the state. we have over 45,000 EMS calls per year and our ED has close to 150,000 visits per year. we have a very famous military base in our county and a large retirement population so we see great medical and trauma calls on a daily basis. love being a paramedic but will be going to PA school in the next couple years with the new GI-Bill for Iraq War vets. just starting this blog to hone my writing skills and see if there is a book in me. |
