| Introduction | I am Ryan, an international student from India, currently working towards completing my Masters of Professional Accounting. I found relocating for my studies an interesting experience-it was completely different from the system of education in India. Study at University is challenging because it spurs you to think and reflect, and not learn by rote. It prepares you to be independent-there is no one to tell you to do this or that-you have to learn to be responsible and take things in your stride. Initially, it was a challenge submitting assignments on time and keeping pace with the topics taught. But now I usually go through the lecture slides before class. My best piece of advice to a commencing student is take it easy and don’t get stressed out. |
