| Introduction | I live to eat rather than eat to live. Since moving to California, I have really embraced the idea of eating more organic foods and buying more locally grown products. I believe that to live a healthy lifestyle, the food you eat should be whole, not processed. And whenever possible, you should prepare it yourself. Cooking relaxes me, except when it's been a busier than normal day and then I like to eat out or order in. I think that becoming a good cook takes patience and practice and that anyone who wants to can cook pretty well if they keep that in mind. Farmers' markets are fun for me. Actually, I find grocery shopping in general quite enjoyable. Consideration of the local cuisine is a big factor when I plan vacations and I am so very happy that I married someone who thinks that way, too! As you can see, food is my life.
