| Introduction | I started knitting to give my hands something to do when I couldn't tear myself away from Twilight Zone marathons and foreign movies on the IFC channel. It never occurred to me that I may have to watch what my hands were doing, so I just did it. Now I read novels (sometimes turning pages with my toes,) watch movies with subtitles, walk to work and attend spirituality discussion groups, all without putting my needles down. I want to earn my living though my knitting. I want to knit commission pieces; patternless, one-of-a-kind. |
