About Me

I was diagnosed with sensorineural (nerve) deafness when I was 9 years old following a bout of bacterial meningitis. In the 24 years that followed, I learned to lipread, sign and wear hearing aids. However I always felt like a "fence straddler," neither fitting into the hearing world or the deaf world. I was approved for the clinical study for the Cochlear Nucleus System 4 (now called Freedom.) Implantation was January 24th 2005, and activated on April 12th 2005. And the experience continues...

Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?

No, but I believe sporks are!
