Introduction Raised in Manhattan, Connecticut, and Norway, Christa Pirl received a BFA in Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in NYC. During her time at Parsons she studied abroad in London and Paris. Upon graduation, Christa worked in such diverse cities as New York, Honolulu, Oslo, and Auckland. In early 2005 she established Christa Pirl Interiors, concentrating on contemporary, eclectic, and livable residential interiors. After six years in the design field, Christa returned to school to complete a Masters of Fine and Decorative Art History at Sotheby’s Institute. While at the Institute she worked with the reputable English furniture dealer Hyde Park, and experienced life behind the scenes at many of the best known art and furniture galleries in New York. With her specialized knowledge of antiques and art, she always integrates unique objects into each space, reflecting her client’s personality and history. In 2009 Christa moved her business to Salt Lake City. In addition to running Christa Pirl Interiors, she teaches design history and sits on the local ASID board.
