Congressman Adam Smith
| Introduction | Congressman Smith has lived his entire life in the 9th District and resides in Tacoma. Now in his 6th term, he is a member of the House Committee on Armed Services where he chairs the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities, and serves on the Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces. He also is a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and serves on the Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, and the Global Environment and the Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health. Adam co-chairs the New Democrat Coalition, the "go-to" group in Congress on the critical issues of economic growth, national security, personal responsibility, and technology development. Adam understands that technology plays a significant role in solving many of the nation's problems, and is a driver of economic growth. |
