About Me
In 1985 Tim was hired by the Hagerstown (Md.) Herald-Mail, and covered the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis from 1990 through 1994, when he became a full-time humor columnist. He was syndicated by the Bridge News Service in New York, with his columns appearing in papers including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Toronto Star and Fort Lauderdale Sun-Times. Tim has also written for The Washington Post and Cato’s Regulation Magazine. He is a regular contributor of travel articles to the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. His collection of columns, "Petrified Fact," was released in 2003. Tim's newest book and first novel, "Home Detention," is a first-person comedy about a reclusive curmudgeon and the awkward life changes he experiences upon moving into a household with three young, vivacious females and a high-maintenance Jack Russell terrier. He's traveled extensively, mountain climbing and trekking in Alaska, Norway, Switzerland, Nepal, Greece, Peru, Mexico and Bolivia. He has climbed all 46 of the High Peaks above 4,000 feet in the Adirondack Mountains in New York state. In 1976, he rode a bicycle across the United States, 4,280 miles from Oregon to Virginia.
