| Introduction | I used to be fearless. If it involved a bad idea and seemed like fun, I was in. I used to take things and people for granted. But since I have been married, become a mom, and recently, ill with acute myelogenous leukemia, I feel that I have become a better person in the past 18 months since my initial diagnosis. Maybe there's a part of me that thinks that if I'm a good person and really nice to everyone that my disease will go away--sad isn't it? I love being a mom and watching my kids grow, learn and discover their world. I am married, finally, to the best man that I have ever met. He is my best friend and my biggest fan. |
