| Introduction | I grew up on Rural Route 3, out past where the black top ends (seriously.. I really did) and now I live an urban existence where there is Starbucks on the corner, a plethora of grocery stores intertwined between a paved concourse of twisted roads of people driving boxes, on their way to work in a big box, where they’ll probably stare at a box all day. A transplant by nature – home was first surrounded by soybeans and corn, and then by the power of the witness relocation program I became accustomed to a life of black cows, wheat pastures and cowboys. White Label, Polo wearin’, smells like freshly cut hay – cowboys. Then a sports writer came along and swept me off my feet. He asked, I said yes, and now I'm moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. Currently, I’m in that little slice of life in between I knew what I was doing and I have no idea what I’m doing. On second thought, that’s about 99.8 percent of the world’s population. Brooke |
