| Introduction | I'm Nicola. I'm a secretary by day & an artist by night. I called my blog Pointy Pix because my favourite technique is pointillism (millions of tiny dots much like newspaper print) I love pen & ink, watercolour & acrylics & have a love/hate relationship with oils (I love how they look but I hate how long they take to dry!) My passion in life, apart from art, is animals. I adore my two dogs & that evolved into an interest & concern for all animals which led to me becoming first vegetarian & then vegan. I am inspired by the depth & soul in an animal's eye & equally in thrall with the natural beauty of this planet we inhabit. I especially love how nature can take something manmade & ugly & sprinkle a little magic on it (such as the twinkly wonder of street lights seen through a rain streaked window) This blog came about when I re-discovered my passion for art (with the motto that it's never too late to be what you might have been). It's a way for me to detail my artistic journey with all the stumbles, stepladders & quick sand (metaphorically speaking, of course!) that life puts in my path en route. |

I wouldn't. I'd let it evaporate and then come down in the next rain shower - the world could do with more love!
