About Me

Growing up in the midwest in the 50’s: cute, spunky, the apple of daddy’s eye. Losing my daddy suddenly at twelve. Moving far away to a new school. Excluded: a wall-flower. Moving again, late high school. Coming into my own: first boyfriend, popularity. College in sunny California, drama major. First job teaching school. Moving to Colorado: a blind date, “love, marriage, and the baby carriage.” Mothering and teaching in a little town in Oregon. 13 major hospitalizations, bouts with migraines, depression. Manic episode at 41 - a watershed experience. A decade later, after 27 years, the marriage falls apart. Eight years of slow healing, a weight gain of 45 pounds, chronic pain. Feeling abandoned, unlovely. 2006 - a healing journey out of pain meds, sleeping pills, anti-d's, into health, energy, vitality, and joy. Now a new career: life coach, writer, speaker. My journey defined throughout by my strong faith in God and desire to be used in others’ lives. Now, at 63, I am seeing that dream come true.
