Introduction	I am a former first grade teacher and a mother of one sweet tot. I decided to start this blog when a bunch of my mommy friends started asking me the big question, "how do I teach my child to read!" Unfortunately for them, they'd either get a blank stare from me or a lengthy explanation that left them even more confused. So, I decided to create a blog where I could share the strategies I used in my first grade classroom when teaching children to read.
