| Introduction | People have often told me that I wear "interesting" clothes. Long ago, I realized that I just needed to take that ball and run with it. What intrigues me is the one-of-a-kind piece made by a local designer doing his/her own thing. These pieces are not trendy, so when I buy them, I know that they are things I will wear for years. I now have a nice little collection of clothes that are unique and were also affordable. But this blog is called the 100-Mile Wardrobe because about a year ago, I realized that between Crossroads and locally owned shops carrying locally made clothing, I could build a whole wardrobe from my own backyard. I live in the Bay Area and never cease to be amazed at the creativity and ingenuity packed into this place. The purpose of this blog is to share my favorite finds with you. I also seek out unique clothing when I travel and will share those finds as well. Happy hunting! |
