Houston

About Me

I was born in the first half of the last century in Houston, Texas. I grew up in East Texas way back in the woods. I went to college, several of them, but it was just to stay out of the Army. It worked for about 5 years, but eventually my draft board thought I was wasting someone's money pretending to be a student, so they drafted me. I was none too pleased with that, and for three years studiously avoided being available for service. There are several good stories there, but I may make you wait for the book. They finally caught me and offered me the army for two years or Leavenworth Federal Prison. I chose the Army, after all, I've always had a thing for men in uniform. After getting out of the Army, I stayed in Alaska and worked on the Alaska Pipeline Project. That was fun. I moved to San Francisco, California in 1979. I should have gotten here sooner, but being as busy as I was with life and adventure, I took a wrong turn. Several of them. It was okay though, after I realized that I wasn't really going anywhere because I was already there.
