About Me

I was born in rural Kansas, but I'm a "townie" by those standards. I earned my BA in Political Science and German at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I studied for a year in Kiel, Germany and travelled as much as my meager budget would allow, and then got a Masters of International Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I now work as a Policy and Budget Analyst at the Wisconsin State Budget Office in Madison. My hobbies include reading, gaming of all kinds, traveling, contra dancing, writing, and keeping abreast of current affairs at home and abroad. This blog aims to be an informative reflection of my interests, presented with what I hope is a fresh perspective, gleaned from my life experiences from the Midwest to Munich.
