| Introduction | I am a divorced father of one fabulous 4-year-old son; i became the Editorial Page Editor at the newspaper I work for this past summer, after being in sports for the past nine or 10 years; was previously the Sports Editor at the same newspaper. now i have a new title, that of associate editor. i will still write op/ed content, but now i will get some reporting assignments, along with editing and creating content ideas and expanding our digital presence.... |

| Favorite Books | I write for a living -- most of the time, anyway -- so i would rather not read for fun. I do enjoy the occassional Cormac McCarthy, however, and i also have a vast collection of material from beat generation writers, especially jack kerouac. have recently read a lot of alan ginsberg, e.e. cummings and walt whitman. and i just finished reading allen berra's book on Paul 'Bear' Bryant (the one which features my boss and hero, Jimmy Smothers, rather extensively) for about the 10th time . . . . |
Why does the color blue mean raspberry-flavored?
