| Introduction | Gourmet Getaways is part of a lifestyle change which is being made by a photographer/traveller who has a love of food, wine and relaxation. The site is about sharing some great getaway ideas, travel stories, luscious food finds and the like, with readers who also enjoy the finer things in life. While it is fantastic to travel the globe we have so many gorgeous restaurant, quality vineyards and lovely boutique style accommodation here, that I think we have all the ingredients for some amazing gourmet getaways on our own doorstep. I will showcase the quaint little towns, beachside hideaways or rural retreats in the area I love, being the coast between Sydney and Brisbane. There are so many hidden gems, which are easily accessible with a quick three hour drive from one of our capital cities.
