The Reluctant Homeschooler

About Me

I’m a Baby Boomer who became a mother late in life after I was well along my career path. Now I’m not only a mother, wife, and writer for a major US corporation, but also a reluctant homeschool instructor. How did I get talked into this!? Forgive me, but I'm using pseudonyms; my kids would wilt with embarrassment knowing they are the subjects of a blog. I hear, “Oh, mom, I can’t believe you said that!” enough as it is. So I’ll call them: Jacob - 16; Alexandra - 14; Larissa - 12. I have begun to homeschool my son; the girls are still in public school until the fall when they, too, will join the ranks of the homeschooled. Gulp!
