Introduction | My book, Perfect Chaos, co-authored with my daughter, was released May 2012 (St. Martin's Press). I am a professor in special education. I love new experiences and learning new things. I don't know if anyone is out there reading this except my family! |
Interests | Reading, of course, writing, traveling, new countries, new experiences..shared with family. Learning new things! |
Favorite Movies | Way too many to list. Any you would suggest??? |
Favorite Music | At the moment the CDs that Linea's boyfriend Josh made me. Mystery music at it's finest (but I can't remember titles anyway). Rolling Stones, Brahms, Bob Marley, Nina Simone, Mariam Mikeba, Ray Montagne, Dean Martin, Chrissie Hynde, Conway Twitty, Annie Lennox...much more than there is time and room to list. |
Favorite Books | I read the "Soloist" in a day and a half. Just of few of the thousand books that grabbed me, changed me, took me to another place: "Three Cups of Tea" (Mortenson), "Mountains Beyond Mountains" (Kidder), "The Places in Between" (Stewart), "Reading Lolita in Tehran" (Nafisi). Yes, there is a theme here. AND, if you don't know Emily Carr, she was also a writer as well as an artist...start with "Klee Wyck". I read this while staying in a cabin outside of Sointula on Malcolm Island, British Columbia. It took me to another world. Just finished Lamb's "The Hour I First Believed". Haunting. Hang in there until the end. Thanks Mom! |
