| Introduction | I'm a special education teacher in Iowa City, Iowa. I've taught 4 years in a severe and profound high school classroom and am now moving to a K-6 behavior/multiple disabilities classroom for the 2008-2009 school year. Based on the high wages in this town- one would think that classroom funding wouldn't be so tight but guess what??!! It is. I continue to funnel my own money back into school system by providing for my classroom to the dismay of my partner & family members. We are beginning a savings fund for a house (at least 3 years overdue) and plan on buying a house in 2 years. As you can tell this type of blog is long overdue!
