About Me

I began my dance career with the Atlanta Ballet in 1978. I joined American Ballet Theater in 1982 and retired as a principal dancer in 1999. (That's a lot of years pointing my feet) I also danced with Twyla Tharp's company, Baryshnikov and Company, Nureyev and Friends, and made several guest appearances around the world. The highlights of my career: Misha, Twyla, Rudy, Agnes de Mille, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, Jerome Robbins, Merce Cunningham, the repertoire I danced both classical and contemporary, 20 different countries and playing golf on days off. Now, I spend my days being inspired by the Dancers and Staff here at Colorado Ballet! p.s. I also spent several years (after I retired from dancing) as the Academy Director at The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers. A wonderful sporting complex on the West Side of Manhattan. Next time your in NY stop by the club, hit a few golf balls and tell them I say hello.
