| Introduction | Born and raised in Greece with a big interest in cooking since my teenage years. At some point I started collecting recipes. Mainly traditional ones that my mother and her sister had in their precious hand-written recipe notebooks. Then the collection got bigger and here we are... Traditional recipes well known abroad but also not a lot (or at all) known. Recipes inspired by traditional ones but with a "modern" touch thanks to some new talented Greek chefs. Recipes influenced from abroad but adjusted to the Greek mentality and way of cooking. Recipes which are with us for sooooo long that (emotionally) are considered a bit Greek in one way or another... This is what you'll find in here and I hope you will enjoy it. And this is my humble way of contributing to the effort of making the Greek cuisine known beyond the "touristic" type of dishes most people know about Greek food. This blog exists thanks to my husband who has been a great help and supports my effort from the first moment. Being a fan of greek food himself that was not so difficult:-) So the blog is dedicated to him and to all those people who became a real inspiration for me through the years. |
