| Introduction | Hello world. I am fascinated with learning disorders. As an educator I love working with students who have learning disorders and general trouble with academics. Part of this fascinations is because ... well I'm pretty sure I have one, though I've never been tested. Most of my life I have struggled academically and have felt judged and intellectually inferior. After earning a degree in Mathematics from a prestigious university, I'm realizing to much of my life is controlled by my insecurities and over compensation. I want to move forward and try out different careers, but my lack of understanding about my self, and my fears that I'm not "smart" seem to be major roadblocks in my professional life. So I'm here, writing, thinking, analyzing as much as I can about learning disabilities in my life. Trying to face my fears about who I am and what I can do, mentally. |
