About me

Gender Female
Location Sydney, NSW, Australia
Introduction Mum, wife to D, Christian, musician, artist, teacher, bookworm, couch potato, considering a career change & wondering if there are any little grey cells still in my brain that would fire up for further study, one who aspires to sucking more marrow out of life...and one recovering from the horror of watching someone I love battle with cancer...
Interests Inspirations: artistic blogs, people living out their faith, FlyLady, being a mother, MISSfit friends, family, teachers, the neverending pile of books next to my bed, my husband who had battled "wild beasts at Ephesus", humble people that battle to live well each day, heros, arts & crafts, art music, good food, love, life...my lists of interests is ever growing as there is so much to learn about in life...
Favorite Movies Dead Poets Society, It's A Wonderful Life, Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Shawshank Redemption, The Princess Bride, Sleepless in Seattle, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, The Sound of Music, Howl's Moving Castle, The Hiding Place, Saving Private Ryan, Amélie, Twelve Angry Men, Stranger Than Fiction, The Lives of Others
Favorite Music classical, rock, jazz, christian, ambient. It depends on my mood... & the children's mood... there is so much music out there. At the moment I love listening to ABC Classic Drive from 5-8pm Mon-Fri. It keeps us all calm throughout "arsenic hour"...
Favorite Books To Kill a Mockingbird, The Bible, The Hobbit, The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe, Bridge to Terabithia, Of Mice & Men, Winnie the Pooh, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, & things by Maeve Binchy, Stormie Omartian, Corrie Ten Boom...whatever I'm reading at the moment is normally great (It's just great to find time to read). I have bookshelves FULL of unread books I have promised myself to read before I buy anymore, but I can't help myself at a booksale AND there's always things tempting me in the Library...I just finished "Waterlemon" by Ruth Ritchie which was poignant & amazing...
