About Me

I am an interdisciplinary artist who is obsessed with the disposability of American Society. I feel that because we have been trained to desire only the new and perfect we have allowed ourselves to discard anything that becomes messy or inconvenient in our lives, be it dishes, dust rags, or relationships. This has caused us to devalue our intellectual, social, and natural resources in favor of seeking instant gratification through consumption. In order to rectify this situation we must learn to write our own stories and define ourselves, rather than allow the markets to do the job for us.

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?

It will be made of all their credit card statements, papier mache molded into my likeness to commemorate their freedom from trying to buy happiness at the mall.
