Introduction Born & raised in very small town. Left right after High School, attended college, then joined the Army during the Vietnam War. Like so many other vets I'm against this current war......it's just a really bad case of Vietnam deja vu! However, I DO support our troops in all our forces and truly appreciate everything they have to do. I just pray they all get to come home soon and once they're here, that they get taken care of, unlike so many Vietnam Vets when they came home. Yep, old scars. They're called scars for a reason! Some call them medals of honor and that would also be accurate!
Interests Quilting, reading, Bible studies, getting involved, i.e., Darfur, Genocide, Iraq War, keeping up with current political/world affairs.
Favorite Movies Just a few are: Imitation of Life, Madame X, Day of the Dolphins, Sweet Home Alabama, Someone Has To Shoot the Pictures, Notting Hill, When A Man Loves A Woman, Overboard, The Last Samurai, The Holiday, The Bone Collector
Favorite Music Anything from the 60's, 70's and early 80's. I still rock out to the oldies but goodies at my house. My teenage son walked into my quiltroom awhile back and said, wow mom, your music did rock back in the old days-ROFL!! No I didn't slap him, I just turned up the Bob Dylan CD I was listening to and we rocked out together!!
Favorite Books Too many to mention. I love many types of books and I practically grew up in our local library. If I had to choose only one book to have for the rest of my life it would have to be my Bible.
