Introduction | I started teaching when I was only about 8 years old to my friends in the neighborhood! They were my first students and oddly enough all became teachers eventually too. I have been fortunate enough to have taught all elementary grades and middle school. To me teaching is like breathing, it just comes naturally. I enjoy it and miss my students as they move on through their education. Everyone always asks me which grade I like best, I really don't know I like them all! I find that for me it is fun to change grade levels every so often and it keeps me challenged and fresh as a teacher. My greatest joy is hearing the success of former students and sharing in their triumphs. Recently one was named a National Merit Scholar! :) I chose the name Mrs. Frizzle because I have actually been called Mrs. Frizzle by a parent years ago. I started teaching in the era of smocks! One of mine had funny cartoonish fabric and I had wild curly hair! She and her son decided that I was exciting as a teacher and reminded them of Mrs. Frizzle. |
