Introduction Philip is a music producer originally from San Francisco now living in Venice(California). He is now OK with this. He is not a writer but simply a retired drummer turned record producer so we ask that readers go easy on the literary criticism. He uses spell check when his mom is busy. Philip is best known by his 4 rescued cats and dog Lil Chili but is also known for remixing classic hit songs from the past to help them sound modern, new or as the Hollywood execs might say "fresh!" Philip has been an ethical vegan for 20 years. He states that his veganism is based on the opinion that he is simply not persuaded by the obviously ABSURD claim that humans must eat or use animals to enjoy life. Philip asserts that he is more persuaded by the evidence that killing animals is morally unjustifiable as animals like most humans do not wish to be killed. Philip has known Lorri Houston founder of Animal Acres for nearly 15 years and is extremely grateful she found enough compassion in her heart(as the record industry has collapsed into a black hole of Internet dust)to let him write this blog and for allowing him the opportunity to make new friends with all the goats at Animal Acres.
Interests Philip maintains his philosophy about animal rights is based on the theory that he has examined the claims made by humanity throughout history (and still made today) which rationalize the oppression and violence against the other animals of the world and has found those claims to be RIDICULOUS. Philip thinks its also very useful and extremely important to point out.. That everyone he knows personally and nearly everyone that everyone else knows personally, everywhere (at least in this culture), are VEGAN. EVERYONE, Philip states, is vegan when it comes to eating or wearing dogs, cats or even other humans! So, the next time someone says to you.."Oh.. I love animals but I could never be vegan I just don't have the will power" You can easily point out that they are already vegan, when it applies to certain animals. They just need to extend the same refrain that inspires them daily not to munch on dogs, cats or other humans and simply exclude chewing on and dressing up in all the other animals as well.
Favorite Music My cats purring, my dog yawning.... all in C major.
