Possibly the only extant civil servant who still believes in the romance of the political process, I remain firm in my eccentric belief that administration can be fun AND efficient. On the other hand, I'm not so fanatical as to believe that I actually have to be around all of the time, so I'm prone to disappearing into the far distance... frequently. My main weapons are not necessarily fear and surprise, although if I could use them well, they would be my personal favourites, Instead, I fight for my chosen cause using a finely honed pen and a carefully chosen phrase.
