About Me

Hi there - I'm Paul Newland.I’m a health writer, health & fitness consultant and martial arts instructor. For the past 20 years I’ve worked as a helicopter pilot, rescue crew trainer and emergency medical technician. I’ve always been seriously into fitness and the study of staying fit (nutrition, diet, exercise programs) . . . many of my helicopter crew, me included, used to suffer from running cramps. To find an answer I was treated by and talked to medical doctors, naturopaths, sports injury doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, osteopaths, massage therapists, kinesiologists – you name it, I saw them. I followed their collective advice, trialed it with my crew and isolated the things that worked from the things that didn’t. Through this blog, my partner & I are going to share our knowledge and experience with you . . .
