Introduction | After twelve years in public radio journalism and eleven years in church administration, I am a graduate student in education at Middle Tennessee State University. I've often volunteered in local schools but didn't realize I was a teacher-in-the-making until recently. I'd like to teach grades 4-6. I'm strongest in reading/literature/language arts. I'm pretty musical and have difficulty tuning out the music in restaurants. I usually end up singing a bit to my tablemates. |
Interests | Reading, teaching, riddles, cooking and grilling. |
Favorite Movies | I think the Sicilian's death in The Princess Bride is the best death scene ever. Because I'm not much of a critic, I like pretty much whatever I go see. |
Favorite Music | I'm firmly stuck in the 80's with a splash of Abba. |
Favorite Books | Love the Narnia series and Frances Mayes' books on Tuscany. William Manchester's Death of a President is terrific. Someday I want to make the oyster stew described by James Michener in Chesapeake. |
