About me

Introduction I am an economist. That is, macro-economist. I do macroeconomic forecasting and analysis for living, and hence have the great privilege to be paid for doing something I love. Here I write my personal thoughts (mostly) on current events. Most commonly I will try to bridge the gap between academia and real world, and hence provide perspective on something that is currently happening in the real world through the prism of what I have learned from academia. That said, I am proudly non-academic. Why @CrisisStudent? I believe it was my personal good luck to be student during the crisis years, from the global financial crisis, to great recession, to euro zone sovereign debt crisis and on and on. As a result, I consider myself a life-long student of crisis. Disclaimer: The views expressed here are solely of my own and in no way should be associated with my employer.
