| Introduction | Mr. Ahmed started Pristine Partners, a management consultancy firm which successfully solicited funding of $100 million from a financial institution to finance Shariah compliant mortgages in Ontario. Mr. Ahmed assisted with business development and market development efforts of the only Shariah compliant mutual fund in Canada at the time. He is regularly interviewed by the local media including radio, and mainstream newspapers and publications. He is a regular speaker on panels at Islamic conferences and events, both within Canada and in the US and assists conference organizers in selecting panels for Islamic finance events and is very active in the local Islamic Finance efforts in Canada. He has significant experience in resource mobilization, business analysis & development, fund management and Shariah compliant portfolio analysis over the past 10 years. He has an undergraduate degree in Management Economics with a focus on Industry & Finance and was recipient of the medal in Economic History from the University of Guelph. Mr. Ahmed started his career as a research analyst at BWI (Brendan Wood International) where he provided business intelligence and strategic advice to the investment banking industry.
