| Introduction | Aunt Bea is my hero, Goober and Barney make me laugh. "I Love Lucy" is one of my favorite shows. I think I was supposed to be born in the 30's so I could wear the fabulous 40's and 50's clothing! I love to sew, quilt, make dolls, crochet, knit, embroider, and paint. I love to bake and make jam, sometimes wearing a vintage apron! I love being outside working in my garden - the sun warming my skin, a gentle breeze drying my clothes on the line, (yes I hang my clothes out, sometimes). Listening to the birds singing to me and that wonderful smell of earth and grass renews my soul. I get dirt manicures working in the flower, fruit, and vegetable beds I have planted. I have nine chickens, all named for special women in my life, who bless me with the most beautiful brown eggs a girl could ask for! Now, if only I could find a vintage 50's trailer, I would place it right next to the flower garden. I would paint it pink and aqua and make cute curtains and pillows. I would crochet floral vintage-styled potholders, and decorate it with all my vintage kitschy things - and my life would be perfect! Come join me in my adventures, and thanks for visiting! |
