| Introduction | Some friends of mine call me Puma. It has to do with my middle name, Kathleen. Kathleen turned into Kat, and then into Puma cat/PumaKat. Now I can’t keep track of all the variations. There are a lot of things that I don’t have in common with pumas. For one, I’m as far as you can get from being a solitary creature. I thrive on friendships and community. Also, I’m not terribly intimidating. I’m friendly and approachable, and if you ran into me on a mountain, you would most likely laugh at my terrible hiking form rather than run for your life. However, pumas and I have this in common: we’re strong, we like to travel, and we’re native to America. So this blog is about one puma cat who made it to a new continent. Please feel free to read as I update on my adventures in Alicante, Spain, where I'm working through the Fulbright program as an English Teaching Assistant in a preschool classroom. |
