About Me

Who am I? On a physical level, I have a mobility and a visual impairment. But then, these facts only go so far as describing my body. After all, I have always questioned reality and the ‘truths’ that I’ve been told about the world and others. I guess that it’s in my nature to question, to play with reality, and to write (of course). I completed some good writing when I was younger and had originally chosen to become a teacher. But then, I acquired a visual impairment which led me to ask once again who I was… As I faced other forms of disability, I realised that the problems I encountered – even as a wheelchair user – were not my own doing. I took on board the social model of disability when I was 24, and never looked back. I became a disability activist and later completed an MA in Disability Studies by 2007. Currently, I work in the local disability field. My dream is to see a society which values everyone as a person – regardless of who he or she is. I am passionate about many things, but perhaps my greatest want is to seek answers and ultimately find the way to true love, peace and happiness within ...

Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

Flexibility as I can opt to expand whenever I feel like it ...
