About Me

I am Vaccinius. Vaccinius is a title. Vaccinius is the world’s conscience. I am. My mission is to explain the creation of God and to strengthen faith. On Blogger I present the wisdom of God by poems and by short explanations and I am very grateful for this opportunity God given to spread the word. Most of my blogs I have brought to an end but I have a Norwegian blog, called ‘Taushet er gull – sies det’ which I post on whenever I feel for it. My blogs with poems are my main concern and I post on them whenever I get a chance. Most important of these are ‘To stand on’, ‘Poems of A.W.E.’ and ‘Bare blåbær’. Favorite Music

• Quite often Carola (www.carola.com) with 'Blott en dag'. The texts of Swedish Lina Sandell are often wonderful. Carola performs them with great empathy ~ or enthusiasm ~ which I think is quite all right. To get in the right mood I gladly listen to "Gabriel's Message - One Thousand Years of Carols" of 1999 HNH International Ltd. (Naxos LC 0553537). But my all time favourite I believe is a collection of old Norwegian psalms conducted by Martin Alfsen called "Sanger fra Bedehusland".

Favorite Books

• The book which woke me up and made me curious upon the figure Jesus was Augustin’s ”Bekjennelser” (”Confessions”). Shortly afterward I read Luther and Erasmus in “Discourse on the free will” - and by that I gained hope in the human being. Later this book to me has stood out as what constituted my understanding of the difference between Catholic and Protestant faith. I began to read the Bible after I read these two books. Later I have read a bit Søren Kierkegaard and in particular I find his epistles in “Øyeblikket” (“The Moment”) amusing.
